Appreciation of Azerbaijani veterans

Developing co-operation between Czech Embassy to Azerbaijan and Organization of Veterans of War, Labor and Armed Forces brought the first important result. Thanks to research made by the Organization eight veterans taking part in liberation of Czechoslovakia were found.
Lieutenant colonel Jan Havlíček, together with his assistant Tomáš Kubáč and Petr Vágner, chargé d´affaires a.i., visited headquarter of the Organization on 13 June 2018. During meeting with Chairman of the Organization Colonel General Tofig Agahuseynov and his Deputy Colonel Jalil Khalilov Jan Havlíček overhanded medals of military attaché which would be delivered with help of the Organizations to veterans.
In friendly atmosphere were also discussed other possibilities of the mutual co-operation. The organization helps Azerbaijani historian who is preparing part of the book devoted to Azerbaijani-Czech relation dealing with participation of Azerbaijani soldiers and partisans in liberation of Czechoslovakia.
The Embassy helps to establish relation with organization of veterans in the Czech Republic.
