Call for proposals of Small Scale Projects in Iraq in 2026

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Baghdad calls potential implementers for proposals of development cooperation projects of the category of Small Scale Projects in the territory of the Republic of Iraq in 2026.
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Baghdad calls potential implementers for proposals of development cooperation projects of the category of Small Scale Projects (referred further as SSP) in the territory of the Republic of Iraq in 2026.
Focus of SSP
The Czech SSP in Iraq aims to contribute to the local subject’s needs of development and support of its positive change by sustainable small-scale development activities or projects,
in accordance with the Iraq’s national development priorities, focusing on education, water treatment or health sector, renovation or upgrade. It is desirable that the implementer would cooperate with Czech subjects, e.g. would purchase Czech products, use Czech know-how, etc. Co-financing from other sources is arbitrary and desirable.
Specification of SSP
The Czech financial contribution for the SSP is 200,000 – 500,000 CZK (approx.. 8,500 – 22,000 USD).
The total cost of salary/fee, subsistence allowance, accommodation, travel cost and eventual insurance and vaccination of the experts must not exceed 25 % of the SSP’s total costs.
The SSP does not include the payment of the implementer’s administrative costs.
Funds can be allocated to non-political and non-governmental group only. Only local organizations with legal entity in Iraq may submit SPP proposal.
Submission of SSP’s proposal by potential implementer
The proposal is to be submitted in the SSP’s identification form, duly completed in all sections
in English only. The completed SSP’s identification form, stamped and signed by
the authorized person, is to be presented in paper and scanned electronic version (pdf format) to the Embassy latest by September 30th, 2025.
A copy of the legal entity document in accordance with the Iraq’s law requirement and
an authorization document of the potential implementer certifying that the signing person
is authorized to act on behalf of the implementer in Iraq must be enclosed.
