Call for proposals: Tied Donation Projects

Embassy of the Czech Republic in Baghdad encourages iraqi public insitutions (hospitals, schools,...) to submit their project proposals for year 2025 for the donation of equipment from Czech producers. The deadline for submitting projects is January 7, 2025. The proposal has to be sent to our Embassy: baghdad.commerce@mzv.gov.cz, application form is included.

Under the financial program called Tied Financial Donations of Czech Aid, Czechia can donate equipment to Iraq. The value of one of such donation can be up to 400.000,00 USD.  In the last three years alone, Czechia donated for example Intensive Care Unit, One Day Surgery or Delivery Room equipment to specialized hospitals in Mosul, Najaf or Baghdad province. Advanced medical equipment of these specialized units had been manufactured in the Czech Republic by the firms from AVDZP (Czech Association of the Manufacturers and Suppliers of the Medical Devices).

In another words – for example, if you are a director representing a public hospital in Iraq, you may wish to have a look at the Virtual Hospital webpage – where Czech manufacturers present all essential hospital equipment that they produce.

You can then estimate actual needs of your hospital, and simply list all desired necessary equipment to your project proposal.

Here is an application formForm for Donation Project (DOC, 110 KB) for your proposal that needs to be filled in.

Please fill the contact details, describe the current shortcomings and benefits your proposal project can bring to the people. List equipment that your hospital, school, or other institution needs, estimate its price in USD. Submit your filled form to baghdad.commerce@mzv.gov.cz, no later than January 7, 2025.

All proposals will be review by the selection committee in Prague. Every year one or two projects are selected, depending on the priorities around the world. The project has to be finished before end of October 2025.
