
Czech delegation meets deputy minister of oil

Czech Ambassador, delegation from Czech Ministry of Industry and representatives of Czech companies UNIS and ABO VALVE met Iraqi Deputy Minister of Oil and Gas to discuss next steps in bilateral cooperation.
Following the sucessful visit of Iraqi Prime Minister to Prague (February 13, 2025), and in line with the recently concluded Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Oil of Iraq and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Czechia, proposals to enhance cooperation were presented in Bagdad on February 25.
The Czech delegation was received by the Deputy Minister for Refineries Mr. Adnan Hamoud. At the meeting, Czech side informed about the upcoming CZ-IRQ rare earth metals extraction project, proposed to increase numbers of Iraqi students in the petroleum engineering programs at Czech universities, expressed support for continuous presence of Czech companies in the development of petrochemical sector in Iraq, and invited representatives of the ministry to the Czech Republic.
