
Representatives of NAHRI NGO signed contract for their Mobile Clinic project in Sinjar Mountains

Czech Republic will support project of Mobile Clinic in 2025 implemented by NAHRI Humanity Organization, under the Small Scale Project scheme of CzechAid. The project will receive funding of 500.000,- czech crowns.
The project of mobile clinic aims at providing a basic health care for remotely located Iraqi citizens in Sinjar Mountains. Estimated area population that will benefit from this primary health care service in 2025 is 2000 people. The mobile clinic serves between 15 to 40 people per its work day. These patients are examined by professional doctors and medical staff and receive basic medical treatments or medicine according to their needs. More complex cases are referred for advanced treatment in another institutions. Mobile clinic has several scheduled stops within earlier announced routes on a given day. Therefore appointments of patients and their needs are known in advance. The project of mobile clinic runs already for several years. In the year 2025 it will be co-financed from CzechAid funds by 500.000,- CZK (approximately 21.000 USD) along with additional funding from other sources.
Results od Small Scale Project proposal competition for year 2025
For the year 2025, the Czech Embassy in Baghdad received unprecedented amount of 80 applications. And the Small Scale Projects commission in Prague selected only one proposal from Iraq. On one hand we are happy, there is such a great interest, on the other hand we are sorry, only one project can be implemented in 2025. We will continue to announce new calls for project proposals in the future (towards the end of 2025) and we thank everybody for their proposals this year.
About NAHRI Humanity Organization
NAHRI Humanity Organization is a non-governmental organization registered in Iraq and Kurdistan region. Organization focuses on healthcare, protection and livelihood of disadvantaged communities. It operates mostly in Northern Iraq and North East Syria, continues to provide services to displaced persons, refugees, and disadvantaged communities. Medical care services include also psychological support and counselling. Since 2019 NAHRI, with support of medical companies, has provided over 2 mil units of medication. By partnering with local authorities and humanitarian organizations NAHRI has helped to improve access to healthcare especially to those affected by conflict and displacement.
About CzechAid and Small Scale Project scheeme
CzechAid is a brand name for the Official Development Aid provided by the Czech Republic. "Small Scale Projects" scheme is one of the financial tools under which a financing is provided. SSP funding for each project ranges between 200 000 CZK (approx. 9 000 USD) to maximum limit 500 000 CZK (approx. 23 000 USD - depending on current exchange rate). Co-funding from the applicant or other sources is welcome.
