Both partners discussed possibility of further developing cooperation between Iraq and Czechia in the area of air transportation. President of the CAA informed about ongoing reforms guaranteeing safety of air transportation and about discussions with authorities on the side of the European Union. These reforms should eventually ensure Iraqi Airways compliance with the safety regulations set out by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). 

Czechia and Iraq are moving towards concluding bilateral Air Transportation Agreement with a view to signature already during the upcoming official visit of Iraqi Prime Minister to Prague on Feb 13, 2025.
