SOLARITY, which established its branch in Jordan a few years ago, traditionally participated in the SONEX/JIMEX 2026 trade fair. SOLARITY has been successfully operating on the Jordanian market for several years and considers participation in the trade fair to be a very valuable tool not only for strengthening its image, but also as an effective platform for establishing new business contacts and obtaining new orders. SOLARITY is also completing work on one of the development projects of the so-called small local projects in Zarqa. It is installing solar panels on the roof of a local community center for socially disadvantaged groups, which provide much-needed energy and at the same time create a covered space for teaching disabled children, which also serves as a gym for rehabilitation of women and the physically disabled.

Among other exhibitors from the Czech Republic, ELKO EP, which has been operating in the Middle East region for many years and has also decided to establish its branch in Amman, was presented. CEO of ELKO EP, Mr. Jiří Konečný, evaluates the Jordanian market as very promising and intends to support developing business cases with active participation in the market. RSE, which manufactures generators and battery storage in the Czech Republic, welcomed the opportunity to review with representatives of the government the large projects that Jordan plans to implement in the near future. The meeting with the national energy company NEPCO, which they attended together with representatives of the Czech-Jordanian Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic Ms. Luna Abu Ghazaleh and accompanied by the head of the trade and economic section of the embassy Ms.Ing. Tereza Valášková, ​​brought interesting information to the RSE representatives Mr. Nikita Starikov and Mr. Petr Pavlicek.

Representatives of the embassy and companies had a fruitful discussion with the Jordanian Minister of Investment H.E. Dr.Tareq Abu Ghazaleh, to whom they had the opportunity to present innovative aspects of Czech technologies. The Minister offered companies assistance in entering the market and invited them to the EU-Jordanian Investment Forum, which is to be held on November 19, 2026 at the Dead Sea. The Czech Ambassador, in turn, invited the Minister to the Czech Republic to present investment opportunities and the investment environment in Jordan to other Czech companies. The Deputy Ambassador and Head of the Trade and Economic Section Ing. Tereza Valášková presented the Minister with the investment environment in the Czech Republic. Another B2G expert meeting took place at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources the Secretary General Ms. Amani Al-Azam, and the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation Secretary General Mr. Omar al-Fanek, with the participation of senior directors of both ministries.

The ministries just visited are the main actors in fulfilling Jordan’s modernization vision through the implementation of a number of strategic projects in the energy sector. Jordan offers a large number of opportunities for Czech companies in the implementation of development projects and also a number of investment opportunities, as it has the ambition to become a regional hub with an impact, especially on neighboring countries. Jordan intends to participate in the reconstruction of Syria and Gaza, which is also to be contributed to by the construction of a cross-border electricity transmission network. NEPCO already provides electricity supplies to Syria and plans to strengthen the transmission system and related infrastructure. Jordan already produces 27% of its energy from renewable energy sources, mainly solar. Given the favorable climatic conditions, in terms of the number of sunny days per year, it has the ambition to reach up to 50% by 2030, which represents great opportunities for companies in the industry.

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Amman, together with the Amman Chamber of Commerce and the European Chamber of Commerce in Jordan (EuroCham), also organized a Jordanian-Czech B2B matchmaking workshop for representatives of Czech energy companies and Jordanian companies in order to deepen mutual cooperation. The workshop, which took place in the representative premises of the Amman Chamber of Commerce, included presentations of companies and subsequent B2B meetings. The Chairman of the Amman Chamber of Commerce, Khalil ElHaj Tawfiq, opened the workshop with the words: “Jordanian-Czech relations are a model of cooperation based on mutual respect and shared interests, and he emphasized the importance of strengthening direct cooperation between the business communities of both countries and expanding economic and investment partnerships”. He stated that “the private sector is a key partner in developing economic relations and transforming them into practical opportunities and projects”. He noted that “Czech companies have advanced expertise and technologies in the fields of energy, sustainability and industrial development, which offers promising prospects for partnerships that support economic growth and increase the competitiveness of the private sector in both countries.”

The Czech Ambassador to Jordan H.E. Andrea Kučerová confirmed her country’s commitment to expanding economic, trade and investment ties with Jordan and deepening partnerships with the private sector. She said that the Czech delegation includes companies specializing in renewable and sustainable energy sources, smart automation, monitoring systems and energy management solutions, and highlighted the potential for cooperation in these sectors. She said that such meetings provide a practical framework for direct cooperation between Jordanian and Czech companies, identify joint investment opportunities, promote partnerships, facilitate technology transfer and support projects of common interest.
