Medical equipment from the Czech companies Linet and MZ Liberec, mainly for intensive care units and the obstetric department, was taken over by the King Abdullah University Hospital in Irbid on December 11, 2022.
Czech Ambassador to Jordan Josef Koutský handed over the gift within the Reconstruction Program of the Czech Republic for the Middle East for the period 2022-2024 to the CEO of the hospital Professor Mohammad Al-Ghazo.
Professor Al Ghazo appreciated the top quality of the Czech medical equipment and at the same time emphasized that this donation significantly helps solve their most urgent problem, which is the lack of bed capacity.
"Supporting the health sector is a long-term priority of Czech development aid in Jordan " said Ambassador Koutský during the ceremony. In addition to material aid, the best Czech doctors from various fields come to Jordan as part of the MEDEVAC program up to four times a year. MEDAVAC is focused on providing highly qualified medical care to especially children from among Syrian refugees and the poorest Jordanians.
