This social event included an exhibition of products by Czech glass companies and panels of the Velvet Revolution and the end of the totalitarian regime in Czechoslovakia in 1989, displayed at the entrance of the hall.  400 guests attended the reception from the local diplomatic corps, Jordanian governmental institutions, as well as Jordanian companies and the Czech expatriate community. The guests had the opportunity to taste Czech specialties, such as Pilsner beer, delicatessen sausages and cheeses.
The 101 years since the establishment of the Common State of Czech and Slovak nations was a centre of attention of the local media, including state’s official news agency- Petra News.
