The ceremonial inauguration of the so-called Small Local Project, financed by the Czech foreign aid, took place on October 21, 2019 in Zarqa, Jordan.
A celebration of successful completion of several months of efforts to build a new community center for Syrian refugees, where a ceramic kiln was installed. Refugees started to produce their own products, which they will subsequently sell. The purpose of this project is to involve those Syrians who were forced to leave their homeland because of the war conflict, by implementing art in their daily life through specific activities associated with so-called art therapy, in order to integrate them into the local community through artistic activity, which is also commercially beneficial for those refugees who live in Zarqa.
The Czech Republic, through the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Amman, has implemented several other Small Local Projects in Jordan in recent years and plans to continue this trend in 2020.
