The Czech Republic and Jordan to intensify their economic cooperation

Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Mrs. Marta Nováková led a 15 member business delegation for an official visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan during 24-26 February 2019.
On 25 February 2019, H.E. Minister Nováková discussed with H.E. Ms. Hala Zawati, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources and with her counterpart H.E. Tariq Hammouri, Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, with whom she jointly launched the 1st session of the Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation, during which protocol of the meeting was signed. On the evening of the same day, Minister Nováková also held negotiations with H.E. Mr. Khaled Toukan, Chairman of the Atomic Commission of Jordan.
H.E. Minister Nováková officially launched a Czech-Jordanian Business Forum on 26 February 2019 in Amman as part of project to support economic diplomacy, which was organised by the Czech Embassy in Jordan together with the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic; furthermore, the Minister held talks with Mr. Yaser Krishan, Director General of Aqaba Railway Corporation, and General Mohammad Farghal, Executive Director of KADBB (The King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau) a Jordanian state company operating in the defence industry.
