The Czech movie "Lidice" will be screened on Thursday 4 October at 6pm at The Rainbow Theater in the framework of the EU Film Festival in Jordan.

Peter Nikolaev, 126 minutes, Drama, Czech language with English subtitles, Czech Republic, 2011 (PG – 17) The story is based on the massacre in the Czech village of Lidice in central Bohemia. In June 1942, Lidice was exterminated and burnt by Nazis in retaliation for the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich, the chief Nazi Administrator of the country. However, Lidice is not a classical war movie, but a psychological drama based on the true story of a man who survived the massacre. Lidice was selected for the 24th annual European Film Awards.
