On 17 October 2017, Major General Ahmad Al-Faqeeh, Director General of Public Security Directorate received H.E. Petr Hladik, Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Amman.
During the meeting, General Major Ahmad Al-Faqeeh has been informed of the decision of the Czech government to provide a donation of 15 million CZK (approx. 700 000 USD) to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in connection with the impact of the Syrian refugees crisis in the country. In particular, the donation is intended to support the project of construction of a regional training centre dedicated to refugees and Asylum affairs. Major General Al-Faqeeh appreciated this support and described the major challenges concerning the current crisis in the region. In addition to that, other possibilities for enhancing mutual cooperation in the field of security between the Czech Republic and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan were discussed.
