Official visit of the President of the Jordanian Senate H.E. Mr. Faisal El-Fayez to the Czech Republic from 9 to 13 September, 2019

Upon the invitation of the President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Jaroslav Kubera, the President of the Jordanian Senate Faisal El-Fayez officially visited the Czech Republic from 9 to 13 September, 2019. The President was accompanied by members of the upper house of the Parliament in Jordan.
Meetings were held on September the 10th with the President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Jaroslav Kubera, followed with the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic Radek Vondráček, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Tomáš Petříček, as well as with the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Pavel Fischer.
On 11 September 2019, the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Andrej Babiš, welcomed the Jordanian partners. Discussions were followed with Jaroslav Bžoch, Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic.
The individual meetings and negotiations of the Czech side with the Jordanian has unambiguously confirmed the smooth friendly relations between the two countries, were during those meetings there was a consensus on all discussed regional and bilateral issues, including mutual interest to deepening economic relations. The Jordanian delegation had a tour in the renovated building of the National Museum and other famous monuments. In addition to Prague, they visited the city Karlovy Vary, where held discussion with the regional authorities on the development of spa and tourism. They also visited the Moser glassworks and the Benedikt porcelain factory in the Region of the Karlovy Vary.
