A trauma team from University Hospital Brno took part in a mission of the Czech Ministry of the Interior’s MEDEVAC Programme in Adzopé, Côte d’Ivoire from 7 to 19 June 2026. At the local regional hospital, the team performed over twenty surgeries for patients suffering from serious post-traumatic conditions.
Working together with Ivorian partners, Czech medical professional treated patients suffering from serious complications after injuries, including poorly healed fractures. The mission demonstrated the practical impact of cooperation between Czechia and Côte d’Ivoire: specialised medical assistance can improve the quality of life of individual patients, help restore mobility, and strengthen the partnership between healthcare institutions in both countries.
