Ambassador Pavel Bílek cut the symbolic ribbon for the forest nursery together with the head of the local community with the assistance of Michal Horáček, president of Plant-for-the-Planet Czech Republic.

Seedlings of mango, mahogany, cashew and rosewood trees are grown in the forest nursery. These types of trees were chosen deliberately with regard to the suitability of local natural conditions and subsequent optimal commercial use.

The following day, the Czech delegation participated in the ceremonial opening of the planting season in the neighboring community of Bamboi, when each member of the delegation and leading representatives of the community symbolically planted the first of the 60,000 trees that were grown with the help of last year's small local project. It was aimed at growing 10,000 mango and cashew trees.

This year, Plant-for-the-Planet Czech Republic in the Bamboi community paid for the construction of a solar-powered well for drinking water, which is used by 2 neighboring villages, the installation of 20 beehives as a basis for the development of beekeeping in the place, and the acquisition of mobile tricycle-ambulance that provides communities with quick transport to a more distant medical facility.
