Provisional quarantine protocol for travellers arriving in Nigeria from any country taking effect from 5th September 2020

Public health measures are applicable to all passengers entering or leaving Nigeria during the COVID-19 pandemic.

1. All passengers must have tested NEGATIVE for COVID-19 withing 96 hours before departure. Tests done more than 96 hours before departure are not valid and persons will not be allowed to board a plane.

2. All passengers are required to register via an online national payment portal – Nigeria International Travel Portal - https://nitp.ncdc.gov.ng/ - and pay for a repeat PCR test to be done upon arrival to Nigeria, on the 7th day.

3. Upon arrival to Nigeria it is compulsory to present NEGATIVE PCR test and proof of payment for the repeat PCR test in the electronic or paper form.

4. All passengers are to proceed on 7-day self-isolation, during which time they are to avoid physical interaction with friends, family, coleagues and other members of the public. Passengers will be monitored by Public Health Officers during this period.

5. On the 7th say of arrival, passenger will present himself at the sample collection centre for the repeat PCR test. Results will be ready within 24 to 48 hours.

6. Persons who test NEGATIVE for COVID-19 after 7 days will end self-isolation. If POSITIVE, they will be managed based on National Guidelines for COVID-19 treatment.
