Partial Re-Opening of Visa Services in Abuja as of June 10, 2020

Visa services at the Consular and Visa Section in the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Abuja are partially renewed as of June 10, 2020. At the same time, the Embassy has resumed the processing of applications lodged before the visa services suspension on March 14, 2020, i.e. before the state of emergency.
The Extent of Visa Services:
1. Schengen Visas: Acceptance of following application forms from:
- family members of EU / Czech Republic citizens
- international transport workers
- critical infrastructure workers
- diplomats and officials of international organizations
- seasonal workers
- health and social services employees and their family members
- food processing employees
- in the interest of the Czech Republic
- in exceptional emergency situations
2. Long Term Visas and Residence Permits: Acceptance of following application forms from:
- long term visas for the purpose of seasonal employment
- special work visa
- visas/residence permits within the Key and Scientific Personnel Program
- visas/residence permits within the Highly Qualified Employees Program
- visas/residence permits within the Program Qualified Employees - employees in health and social services, agriculture and food industry only
- long term residence permits for the purpose o scientific research (also for spouses and minor children)
- long term and permanent residence permits for the purpose of family unification (but only for spouses and minor children)
- long term visas for the family purpose (only for spouses and minor children)
- long term visas for the purpose of study and residence permits for the purpose of study
- visas for the purpose of collecting residence permits (the so-called DVR type visa) - the so-called visa sticker transfer - for any purpose of stay
3. Resumption of processing of visa applications
As of June 10th, 2020, processing of all applications for long-term visas and residence permits that have been started before March 14, 2020 (that means a continuation of examining those applications that have been filed before the state of emergency), are resumed at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Abuja.
