Meeting with the Vice-President of the Nigerian National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure - NASENI

On March 5, 2021, Ambassador Marek Skolil and the Economic and Trade Counsellor of the Embassy, Mrs Beata Matusiková, met with the Vice-President of the Nigerian National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) Prof. M.S. Haruna to talk about the possibilities of specific bilateral cooperation in the field of technology transfer. The meeting represents another step towards the implementation of the MoU between the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic and NASENI. The chairman of the agency is Nigerian President Buhari, who expects concrete results from NASENI in the field of technology development.
The negotiations followed a meeting with the Chairman of the Presidential Implementation Committee for Nigerian-Czech Cooperation in Technology Transfer, Mr. Mohammad Dahiru, dated January 29, 2021, during which the parties agreed to establish and implement practical cooperation between the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic and NASENI.
The meeting with Vice-President Haruna and the other members of the Agency resulted in an agreement on the preparation of a work plan with a view to initiating the cooperation.
