Meeting with the new Archbishop of Abuja

On May 22, 2020, H.E. Mr. Marek Skolil, Ambassador of the Czech Republic, accompanied by Mrs. Marie Nwanyanwu, met with the newly appointed Archbishop of Abuja, H.G. Mons. Ignatius Ayau Kaigama. The meeting aimed to reaffirm the already successful cooperation of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Abuja with the Catholic Church. The Ambassador  stressed the development projects implemented in the past and two Nigerian theologians who, after successfully completing a Czech language course, are studying theology in Pilsen, where they will also participate in pastoral care. Furthermore, he handed over to the Archbishop the letter from the Bishop of Pilsen, Mons. Tomáš Holub, inviting the church dignitary to visit the Czech Republic.
