Meeting with Goodluck Johnatan

On 31 May 2021, the former Nigerian President and current ECOWAS Special Envoy for Mali, Goodluck Johnatan, received Ambassador M. Skolil and Deputy H. Trousilová. The meeting we requested a few weeks ago unexpectedly developed into a briefing of representatives of four embassies (Czech Republic, European Union, France and the UK). As a result, the subject was the latest developments in Mali and not the political and security situation in Nigeria, as we had originally planned. Nevertheless, the meeting was stimulating and very interesting in the context of the events in the Sahel.
