Inauguration of the Honorary Consulate of the Czech Republic in Libreville (Gabon)

On July 6, 2018, the Honorary Consulate of the Czech Republic in Libreville was inaugurated in the presence of a representative of the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Nigeria, elected representatives of the Senate and the National Assembly of the Parliament of the Republic of Gabon, together with representatives of Gabonese state administration and the Catholic Church.

Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Gabon is Mr. Jozef Kupec, who has been in the country for a long time since 2008 and since 2011 he has been permanently established there. He works as an independent architect with an extensive clientele in civil and residential construction (construction and consulting). He is located in an apartment in the residential district of Nzeng-Yong, where the Honorary Consulate is also placed.

The Honorary Consulate in Libreville, in accordance with the regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, is entrusted with the performance of defined activities, including the promotion of mutual trade between the Czech Republic and the Republic of Gabon and the provision of assistance to Czech citizens in need in Gabon (serious cases such as deaths, hospitalization, arrest).
