In October 2023, the Embassy organized a total of three panel debates, the topics of which were different, but always in some way related to democracy in Africa, namely in Nigeria. The leading Czech Africanist Professor Jan Záhořík participated in the panels on behalf of the Czech side. He also took part in their organizational preparation in September 2023. Each of the debates was different, both in terms of venue and audience. What all three had in common, however, was lively audience interaction. A total of 700 direct participants took part in the debate, a hundred others joined via Zoom.
