Opening ceremonial and commissioning of new dwells, which were built by the aid of the Czech Republic together with the Cardinal Onaiyekan Peace Foundation (COPF) was held in Amper, Plateau State on July 25, 2019.
The Czech Republic perceives the need to help in developing countries and thus contribute to improving the living conditions of people in the poorest areas. Thanks to cooperation with the Nigerian Cardinal Onaiyekan Peace Foundation the Czech Embassy in Nigeria, through the institute of the so-called small local project, contributed financially to the construction of several dwells in the Amper village community in Plateau, Nigeria. Thanks to this project, local people now have much easier access to water supply.
On 25 July 2019, the opening ceremonial and consecration of the dwell took place with the participation of representatives of the COPF, the local bishop and economic diplomat of the Czech Embassy Ms. Beata Matusik.
