The Czech Republic perceives the need to help in developing countries and thus contribute to improving the living conditions of people in the poorest areas. Thanks to the cooperation with the Cardinal Onaiyekan Peace Foundation, the Czech Embassy in Nigeria, through the institute of the so-called small local project, contributed financially to building a system of several dwells in the village community of Ruga near Abuja. Despite the logistical complications caused by measures against COVID-19, the project was successfully implemented and thanks to it, local residents have now much easier access to water supply.

On July 29, 2019, the ceremonial opening took place with the participation of representatives of the Peace Foundation, the local community of Ruga and economic diplomat Beata Matusiková.
