Presentation of credentials to the President of the Central African Republic

Jaroslav Siro is the first Ambassador of the Czech Republic who presented the credentials to the President of the Central African Republic (CAR)

The Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the CAR, His Excellency J. SIRO, officially presented the credentials to His Excellency Mr. François Bozizé Yangouvonda, Head of the State, on 14th September 2012 in presidential palace.

The day before, on 13th September, Ambassador SIRO had presented the copies of credentials to Antoine Gambi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and of the Francophonie.

Jaroslav SIRO is the the first Ambassador of the Czech Republic who presented the credentials to the President of the CAR. The last delegation from the former Czechoslovakia visited CAR in 1974.

Ambassador SIRO had several meetings with the representatives of the CAR government and with the chamber of commerce CCIMA to discuss the investment opportunities in CAR. He also visited the Head of the EU Delegation, the President of Central African Red Cross and the Carmelite Order, who all are involved in development and humanitarian cooperation in CAR.

In 2011, the Czech NGO Siriri, which means peace in the CAR national language sango, has financed the construction of a secondary school in Bozoum, in northwest of CAR. Thanks to the voluntary contributions from Czech people, Siriri is also supporting the orphanage center in Bozoum.
