Czech Ambassador and the Governor of Kano State signed a memorandum on trams

The meeting of the Czech Ambassador Pavel Mikeš and the Governor of Kano state Abdullahi Umar Ganduje was held on 30 July 2015 at the headquarters of Kano State in Abuja. Pavel Mikeš was presenting to the governor the project of an introduction of the tram transport in Kano during the meeting.
Kano, the metropolis of the north, whose population achieves the size of the population in the Czech Republic, is the second largest city of the federation. Tram lines would, in the flat terrain of the city, greatly alleviate the road congestion, moreover, it would mean some energy savings. The Ambassador and the Governor signed the Memorandum of Understanding on the tram project at the end of the meeting.
