IMPORTANT NOTICE: Restrictions of the operation of the visa and consular section of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Manila

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Manila wishes to inform the public that from February 29, 2024, reconstruction is taking place in its premises. During this reconstruction, the operation of the visa and consular section is significantly limited for the necessary period.
Full resumption of operation is expected from June 1, 2024 at the latest.
The fundamental adjustment and expansion of the existing premises of the embassy is a necessary measure to ensure the priorities of the government of the Czech Republic in the framework of economic migration, consisting in receiving an increased number of applications for an employment card.

Visa agenda:

The submission of applications for short-term Schengen visas at the VFS visa center will be limited in March, completely suspended in April - May.

The submission of applications for short-term Schengen visas, which are submitted directly to our office (primarily applications of family members of EU citizens), will be suspended during March 2024, until the reconstruction is completed.

The submission of applications for long-term visas and stays submitted at our embassy will be limited in March, completely suspended in April - May.

The submission of applications for employee cards at the VFS visa center will not be suspended. But until further notice it will not be possible to print the approved visas (Employee Cards) and arrangement of other issues (translation verification etc.).

Please note: operation restrictions also apply to applications for Schengen visas on behalf of Slovakia.

 

Consular agenda:

In the period from about mid-March to May 2024, it will not be possible to process applications for passports and applications within the registry and citizenship agenda.

The embassy will continue to provide consular assistance in dealing with cases of Czech citizens in emergency, and the embassy's emergency line remains in operation throughout the reconstruction period.

 

More detailed information regarding the gradual renewal of agendas during the reconstruction will be published continuously.
