Exhibition Sustainable Development Goals - Heart of Europe

GK Erbil had the honour of hosting probably the first exhibition on the ground of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI) dedicated to sustainable development projects – Sustainable Development Goals - Heart of Europe.

More than sixty guests arrived at the Palacky University Campus Erbil, where the exhibition was held in collaboration with the main partner Galiawa Group. We would like to mention the Public Diplomacy Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which prepared the visual material and made it available to Czech embassies around the world.

Among the guests were representatives of the diplomatic corps, the United Nations, Regional government, and local authorities and, last but not least, representatives of non-governmental non-profit organizations. Just for information, there are over five thousands NGOs registered in the KRI and over two thousands of them are really active. We are of course pleased that Czechia is important partner for UNDP.

Our intention was to present the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and to show the public what the Czech Republic is specifically involved in. New technologies that were presented at this year's EXPO 2020 in Dubai did not escape our attention.

We were really pleased with the fulfilling our ambition of this exhibition, where our guests, after seeing the photographs, engaged in mutual discussions with an exchange of opinions, experiences and, last but not least, their business cards. We hope that these few dozen minutes spent reflecting on each project will move this world a little further in the right direction.

We thank all our guests for their time and support of projects that make this world a better place to live.
