Celebration of the 1100th anniversary of the death of St. Ludmila in Dublin

On the Day of Czech Statehood, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Dublin, in cooperation with the Croatian Catholic Mission, organized a celebration of the 1100th anniversary of the death of St. Ludmila in Dublin's St. Mary´s Church.
 

As part of the programme, Ambassador Petr Kynštetr inaugurated the exhibition "Saint Ludmila - Princess and Saint" in the church and the Apostolic Nuncio to Ireland, Jude Thaddeus Okolo, celebrated Mass partly in Czech. During the ceremony, the representative of the Croatian Catholic Mission, Josip Levaković, sang the St. Wenceslas Chorale, the Czech spiritual song "Hospodine, pomiluj ny" ("Lord, have mercy") and Old Slavic songs.
