The conference was opened by an introductory speech by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Martin Tlapa. The Czech Republic and Ireland can work very well together in this area."

He also highlighted the success of Czech research and its contribution to healthcare. He introduced the participating Czech companies and their area of operation. He expressed hope for mutually beneficial cooperation between the Czech Republic and Ireland and assured the readiness of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Dublin to assist in this cooperation.
