The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Damascus has implemented another project within the "Tied Financial Donations" program.

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Damascus has completed one project aimed at supporting health departments focusing on childcare and emergency units within Damascus University Children’s Hospital.

 

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Damascus informs about the successful completion of the project " Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation and Cell Therapy Centre"
 

The implementation of the project consisted in enabling the purchase of sophisticated software that allows the center to systematically work with samples of pediatric patients with leukemias and cancers in the laboratory.
It consists of Stem Cell Donor Registry software Prometheus, HLA laboratory management software Orpheus and Stem Cell Processing laboratory and Cord Blood Bank software Cryus with label inn. Through this software, the Centre can also connect to an international database of professional data and scientific results in the medical field, which makes a very significant contribution to cancer research in pediatric patients in Syria.   
 

This assistance was provided through Tied Financial Donation project in Syria, which is being executed as part of the implementation of the government's "Provision of Humanitarian, Development and Reconstruction Assistance to Syria 2016-2019" - (Continuing in 2020-2021) program.
 

Donation under this specific project was calculated at 4,695,840 CZK, 180,000 EUR.
