The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Damascus has implemented another project within the "Tied Financial Donations" program.

The Embassy has completed two projects aimed at supporting health departments focusing on childcare and emergency units within the hospitals in Aleppo and Damascus.
 
 

1. Project "Support for the SARC Hospital in Aleppo"

 

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Damascus informs about the successful completion of the project "Support for the SARC Hospital in Aleppo" when medical equipment was purchased for a children's clinic managed by the non-governmental organization SARC (Syrian Arab Red Crescent). This assistance was provided through Tied Financial Donation project in Syria, which is being executed as part of the implementation of the government's "Provision of Humanitarian, Development and Reconstruction Assistance to Syria 2016-2019" - (Continuing in 2020-2021) program. The implementation of the project consisted of the supply of new hospital equipment for the pediatric intensive care unit (ICU), mainly the supply of pediatric monitors, phototherapy lamps and neonatal incubators and ventilators. Donation under this specific project was calculated at 4,613,840 CZK. The recipient of this gift was the SARC Children's Clinic in Aleppo. Following equipment was purchased:

 

  • 20 pcs of children's adjustable beds for ICUs with universal dining tables (Linet company)
  • 7 neonatal incubators for ICU (TSE Medical company)
  • 7 phototherapy lamps (TSE Medical company)

 

   


 

2. Damascus Central Hospital Project

The Czech Embassy supervised and executed another project of Tied Financial Donations named "Damascus Central Hospital". This project had been designed to purchase special equipment for the reconstructed part of the medical emergency service in Damascus. The implementation of the project consisted of the supply of new hospital equipment, mainly the supply of wheeled transport chairs, hospital beds and neonatal incubators. The recipient of this donation is Damascus Central Hospital, which received:

 

  • 10 pcs of Sella transport chairs (LINET company)
  • 10 beds for the Eleganza intensive care unit (LINET company)
  • 10 Belly baby cots (TSE Medical)
  • 10 pcs of neonatal Shelly incubator (TSE Medical company)

 

The total cost of the Damascus Central Hospital project was calculated at 3,381,980 CZK.
