Draw for the Minifootball World Cup to be held in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah in autumn 2023

On June 20, 2023, Ambassador Jiří Slavík took part in the draw for the groups of the Minifootball World Cup which will be held in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah from October 26 to November 4, 2023.
Teams from 32 countries will participate in the World Cup including the Czech Republic which will play in Group C along with Ukraine, Israel and Thailand.
The importance of this tournament was emphasized in the opening speech by our representative Mr. Filip Juda who is the President of the World Minifootball Federation (WMF). He was elected to the position in 2013 and is currently serving his third mandate which runs up to 2027.
The Czech team belongs to the absolute top in the world; in the past it won the title of world champions in Tunisia in 2017.
In Ras Al Khaimah, the World Cup has significant support by the local authorities led by His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qassimi, ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and his team. It will be a major global sporting event in the United Arab Emirates this year.
